This week at Kiwanis

Paulding, OH: This week Kiwanis member Crystal Joyner introduced guest speaker Cindy Langenkamp the Regional Director of Operations of the North for Vancrest Health Care Centers. Langenkamp introduced the most recent Vancrest development in Payne. The new assisted living and skilled living facility used to be Dallas Lamb. Vancrest has been in business for over 50 years and has 14 facilities, all of which serve rural communities.

The new facility in Payne will include a rehabilitation wing, and a rehab dining hall, assisted living quarters, a skilled nursing wing and dining, as well as a hair salon, bistro, therapy suite, and whirlpool spa. With the many additions made to the old building, the new building will be able to service more of those in need and will allow diverse types of care. “Something unique about Vancrest is that our therapists go home with those who need their assistance. That way they are receiving at home treatment from a therapist that knows their progress,” says Langenkamp. She showed Kiwanis members blue prints and progress made to the building due to open sometime around May. Vancrest of Payne will bring at least 75 new jobs to the area and accepts waivers. If a resident is unable to pay privately, they can still recieve care through Medicaid assistance. Langenkamp beamed with excitement and passion for her job and helping others. She encourages everyone to attend an open house closer to the grand opening. Kiwanis meets next Thursday at noon as always.
