Cole Seslar scores 2 points from under the basket

Antwerp boys basketball took on Hilltop at the Archer court on Saturday, February 13. I don’t want to say this was an easy game for the home team because they worked hard for it, certainly they made it look easy. The Archers nailed 22 points in the first period with Matt Jones burning the court with 9 points in the first. Longardner had 7 points and Cole Seslar shot a 3 pointer. The first period ended with Antwerp in the lead, 22-14.

The second period was almost as nice for Antwerp with 19 on the board and most of those were by Sam Williamson with 11. Trey Mills was added to the score board in this period with a two point and 3 point field goals. The half finished, 41–29.

The third period, the Cadets bounced back from total annihilation, picking up the pace against the Archers. Antwerp was able to add 16 points with many of those by Jones and Longardner. At the same time Riley, Smith and Brooker from the West Unity School put together 19. This was the best period for Hilltop.

The last of the game ,Hilltop didn’t make double digits. They made nine to Antwerp 14 and the game finished 71-54 in game that is winding down the basketball season for the Archers. More pictures at westbendnews.net
