The sectional game for the Wayne Trace Lady Raiders took place on Saturday evening at Findlay High School. Between Leipsic and the Raiders, the game was very close. The Raiders girls basketball team started strong. Danae Myers came on strong and so did Erin Mohr, outpacing the Vikings by 6 points.

Second period was closer with Leipsic gaining on the Raiders, but Wayne Trace still held on to the lead at half with a score of 28-26.

Wayne Trace, the better rank against Leipsic, was not enough to be certain of the win. The last few games had really been a struggle for these girls—only winning 2 of the last 5, nothing like the earlier part of the season where these ladies were unstoppable.

The third and fourth periods were both close for the teams. Wayne Trace lost their lead by the end of the third. Courtney Mead ended up making 2- 3 point baskets. They ended up gaining the momentum back in the fourth and the game finished the fourth period tied at 56, sending the game into overtime.

The overtime was a big setback for the Lady Raiders. The Vikings were hitting all the baskets and Wayne Trace struggled just to add points to the board. The game finished with Leipsic moving on in the tournament 70-62. Wayne Trace finished a great season with a 17-6 record!
