Loves opensLove’s to donate $2,000 to local nonprofit

The City of Woodburn receives a little ‘Love’ during its 150th birthday celebration. The new Love’s Travel Stop, which offers residents a new place to purchase fuel, snacks, meals and more, opened for business today.

The 12,000 sq. ft. facility, located at U.S. Highway 24 and State Route 101, is open 24 hours a day. Customers will find gourmet coffee, fresh fruit, travel items, electronics, gift merchandise, Subway and McDonald’s restaurants and more. Professional drivers can take advantage of 76 truck parking spaces and a Love’s Truck Tire Care center.

“We’re honored to become a part of the Woodburn community, especially during such a landmark year,” said Tom Love, founder and executive chairman of Love’s Travel Stops. “We look forward to offering the ‘Clean Places, Friendly Faces’ Love’s is known for to residents and professional drivers and we look forward to contributing to the growth of the area.”

Love’s will donate $2,000 to the Woodburn Community Association as part of its grand opening festivities. The local nonprofit strives to make the area a better place to live through beautification projects, donating to various local causes and more. The check will be presented at a ribbon cutting to be held at the new Love’s on Wednesday, June 10 at 11:00 a.m. Members of the community are invited to attend the ribbon cutting.
