Hit Skip Injury Crash on US Route 127 in Van Wert County

police-lightsLiberty Township – The Van Wert Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a two vehicle injury traffic crash that occurred on June 10, 2014 at approximately 3:30 AM. The crash occurred on US Route 127 north of State Route 709 in Van Wert County.

A 2006 Mack semi driven by John C. Frame, age 66, Osceola, Indiana was traveling northbound on US Route 127 in Van Wert County. A red semi with a white box trailer, driven by an unknown subject was southbound on US Route 127.

The red semi crossed the center line and struck Mr. Frame’s vehicle rendering it disabled on the roadway. The red semi left the scene after the crash.

Mr. Frame sustained injury as a result of the crash and was treated and released at the scene.

The red semi will have heavy damage to the driver’s side. Damage will include but limited to, a missing driver’s door mirror and support bracket as well as green paint transfer.

Assisting at the scene were the: Van Wert County Sheriff’s Office, Ohio City Fire and EMS, Parker Mace Wrecker Service. Additional assistance was provided by the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office and the Wapakoneta Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
