Gorrell Bros. Auctioneers & Real Estate LLC proudly announces a historic leadership transition as the company enters its next generation of leadership while honoring more than a century of family tradition.
After nearly 50 years of dedicated leadership, Larry D. Gorrell has announced his decision to step down as Principal Broker, effective immediately, and transition into the role of Associate Broker.
For decades, Larry has been a trusted leader in Northwest Ohio’s real estate and auction industry. His unwavering integrity, professionalism, and commitment to serving clients have helped establish Gorrell Bros. as one of the region’s most respected real estate, auction, and appraisal firms. Although he is stepping away from his role as Principal Broker, Larry will continue serving clients and mentoring the next generation of real estate professionals as an Associate Broker.
Gorrell Bros. is proud to announce the appointment of Zachary B. Gorrell as President, Chief Executive Officer, Principal Broker, and Owner, effective immediately.
Under Larry’s mentorship, Zach has rapidly emerged as one of Northwest Ohio’s leading real estate professionals. In 2025, Zach successfully closed more than 70 real estate transactions, making him the top-producing individual real estate agent in Paulding County by a significant margin and one of the leading agents throughout the surrounding multi-county region in total transactions. His production ranked him among Ohio’s highest-performing real estate professionals.
A lifelong resident of Paulding County, Zach graduated from Paulding High School in 2022, where he was active in athletics, student leadership, served as National Honor Society President, and Class Vice President. In 2026, he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from the John B. and Lillian E. Neff College of Business and Innovation at the University of Toledo.
Zach completed his real estate education through Davis College and graduated from the Reppert School of Auctioneering, further expanding his expertise within the industry. In addition to serving as Principal Broker and Auctioneer, Zach is also a licensed real estate appraiser, providing valuation services for residential, agricultural, commercial, estate, and investment properties.
As a fifth-generation member of the Gorrell family business, Zach is committed to preserving the values and reputation that have defined Gorrell Bros. Since 1920, while continuing to grow the company’s real estate, auction, and appraisal divisions through innovation, technology, and exceptional client service.
Recognized for his results-driven approach, Zach combines strategic marketing, professional photography, drone videography, digital advertising, and targeted social media campaigns to maximize property exposure and deliver outstanding results for buyers and sellers alike. His areas of expertise include residential, agricultural, and commercial real estate, land and personal property auctions, appraisals, and comprehensive marketing solutions.
In addition to his leadership at Gorrell Bros., Zach is the founder of Thirteen Marketing Co., a marketing agency specializing in branding, digital advertising, and real estate marketing strategies designed to help businesses and properties stand out in today’s competitive marketplace.
Committed to giving back to the community he calls home, Zach is an active member of the Paulding Chamber of Commerce, Paulding Kiwanis, and is a graduate of the Leadership in Action program. He also serves and worships at Defiance Church of the Nazarene.
