ANTWERP POLICE REPORTS

On December 29, Antwerp Police Department assisted Antwerp EMS at residence on Sycamore St.

On December 30, Paulding Juvenile Probation issued a warrant for a juvenile. The officer located the juvenile, arrested him and transferred custody to a deputy who transported him to Stryker juvenile detention center.

On December 31, a motor vehicle accident occurred at Main St. and River St.

On January 2, officers were called to a resident on Daggett St. for someone suffering from mental illness.

On January 2, Antwerp Police Department received a burglary alarm at a local business. An officer responded and found it was set off by mistake. 

On January 3, a resident of River St. reported being harassed by an ex-boyfriend.

On January 5, a vehicle was stolen in Ft. Wayne, Antwerp Police located the vehicle downtown Antwerp parked behind businesses. The case was investigated, the individual was identified and charges are pending in municipal court.

On January 6, a resident of Madison St. called with a complaint that the neighbor left crackers on the hood of his car and it was driving his cat nuts. 

On January 6, a domestic dispute was reported on Main St. The case was investigated and it was determined that nothing physical had occurred.

On January 7, a resident reported that she had a no contact order and it was being violated. The case was investigated and forwarded to the prosecutor. 

On January 7, a resident of Canal St. reported they witnessed someone damage their vehicle. The case was investigated, the suspect identified and located and referred to the prosecutor for charges.

On January 8, a license plate was turned into the police department that was found in the roadway. The   owner was contacted and came from Sherwood to retrieve it. 

On January 8, Antwerp Police Department assisted the FBI with a records request on a local individual. 

On January 8, the village administrator reported a suspicious vehicle that had been parking at the water tower on Washington. Officers checked several times and haven’t been able to locate the vehicle.  

On January 9, Defiance prosecutor requested calls involving a village resident from September 9 to current. 25 pages were sent.
