Antwerp Police Reports

October 31, Antwerp police department received a panic alarm from a downtown business. An officer responded & found it to have been set off by accident.

October 28, an officer was approached while standing at intersection of Park Ave. & Main St. The person stated that an adult mail was walking around the new addition smoking marijuana.

October 28, while on patrol, an officer observed a suspicious vehicle at the old H&H cleaners building. The officer was able to locate the owner of vehicle.

October 28, during trick or treat, an argument between a juvenile daughter & father occurred. The officer assisted the situation by escorting the daughter home.

October 27, a welfare check was requested on a teen girl at Park Ave Villas. Officer checked & she was found to be okay.

October 27, a resident of S. Erie St. called & wanted to make a report for someone trespassing & vandalism. She stated that construction workers stole gravel from their driveway & left trucks in her driveway. Officer responded & spoke to construction crew, village worker & homeowner & got it sorted out.

October 27, there was a motor vehicle accident on River St. and Main St. Report was prepared.

October 27, a domestic dispute between father & juvenile daughter occured. Father did not want daughter to go to school. Officer responded & escorted the juvenile to the school.

October 26, a resident called about an eviction notice they received. The officer responded & explained situation to homeowner.

October 26, a resident of Wentworth St. reported that there were 2 loose dogs in her yard. Officer responded & identified dogs by their collar & owners came & picked them up.

October 26, a motor vehicle accident  occurred on private property at a residence on Buffalo Street.

October 25, a report of domestic dispute on Woodcox St. was reported. An officer assisted, nothing criminal occurred. Officer stayed as one of individuals packed & left.

October 25, the Antwerp police department was notified of a protection order on an individual on W. Canal St. Order was filed & officers notified.

October 24, an officer witnessed an individual who was driving with a suspension. Officer located the individual and cited him for DUS & cited the vehicle owner for wrongful entrustment.

October 24, a resident of Park Ave. Villas reported that their daughter stolen their car. A report was prepared. The vehicle was located in Payne & charges were filed with prosecutor.

October 23, the police department received a report of suspicious people at the Catholic Church located on Daggett St. An officer responded and found it was former members cleaning eave spouts. The officer then relayed this information to the complainant. Then on October  24 the church administrator called the police department and said the men there were not given permission to be there and no one is supposed to be on church property. Admin requested the police department to patrol more frequently and also indicated they wanted no one on property.

October 18, an officer assisted EMS on a call.

October 17, a report of menacing was reported. Officer investigated and it was referred to the county prosecutor. 

October 15, Ossian police department contacted the Antwerp police department in reference to a resident of the  village harassing an  individual in Ossian 

October 13, report of an individual riding an ATV at the mobile home park on the east edge of village. Officer investigated and  found owner of the property had given permission for someone to ride
