A new primary care provider, Carson Roberts, DO, has joined the Parkview Physicians Group (PPG) – Family Medicine team and will serve Steuben County residents at the Angola office, 306 E. Maumee St., Suite 201.
“We are pleased that Dr. Roberts has chosen to serve Angola-area individuals and families,” said Tasha Eicher, market president, Parkview Health Northeast/Ohio. “He has a heart for primary care, and he’s another Hoosier-born professional who has returned to Indiana; it’s always a win for our communities to have a provider return to their roots to practice medicine.”
Roberts completed his residency in family medicine through the Fort Wayne Medical Education Program. He received his Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree from the Kentucky College of Osteopathic Medicine in Pikeville, Kentucky.
His training also included work as a summer research intern at the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania and a summer research fellow for the Kentucky College of Osteopathic Medicine.
For his undergraduate studies, Roberts attended Saint Joseph’s College in Rensselaer, Indiana, earning a bachelor’s degree in biology and chemistry.
He is a member of the American Osteopathic Association, the Indiana Academy of Family Physicians and the American Academy of Family Physicians.
Roberts grew up not far away in Goshen, Indiana, and is looking forward to working with patients of all ages while becoming part of the vibrant Angola community. He sees his role as a family physician to be a highly involved guide for his patients, engaging in all aspects of their care.
“I pride myself on getting to know my patients as people and not only treating their medical conditions, but also being there for them every step of their health journey,” he said.
Roberts said he enjoys the “full-spectrum” variety of primary care as well as performing office-based procedures such as joint injections, skin biopsies and vasectomies.
Outside of work, Roberts has an active family life with his wife, Jacquelyn, and their two young children. Together, they spend time camping; enjoy boating, water skiing and life on the lake; and cheer on their favorite pro football team, the Green Bay Packers.
