The long awaited Family Dollar / Dollar Tree store opened its doors for business on Thursday morning, August 24th. This project has been ongoing for the better part of 2023 and has been anticipated by many in the Antwerp area. It is occupying the spot where River Street Market stood before the fire that forced the landmark grocery store to close in January 2016. Store manager, Bianca Nicholson is ready for the Antwerp community. This was a soft opening of the newest location of the chain, and hours have not been posted yet. Go take a peak as you are out walking on the sidewalks and see how the newest addition to Antwerp cleaned up the East River St. streetscape.
