Antwerp Police Reports

On July 18, a vehicle was stopped on Erie St for speeding. The driver was cited for no operator license and speeding.

On July 20, a resident reported that there was a hitch hiker coming north on 49 toward the village.  The officer referred the situation to the sheriff department.

On Jul 20, animal neglect was reported on E. River St.  An officer responded and investigated. 

On July 20, officers were called to an apartment at Park Avenue Villas in reference to someone calling 911. They responded and determined a child dialed it by accident. 

On July 20, the police department was called in reference to an individual who failed to ring up all the items at Dollar General. The case is under investigation. 

On July 21, the police department received a complaint in reference to either stolen or fraudulent prescription forms where someone attempted to use them in Antwerp.

On July 22, a theft was reported on Wentworth Dr. An officer arrived and investigated. 

On July 23, an officer received a complaint of people arguing on N. Main St. An officer arrived but could not locate anyone arguing. 

On July 25, officers assisted the Chamber with a  parade through town.

On July 27, the police department investigated situation of possible illegal parking on W. River St.

On July 28, a resident had located a village flag on the roadway and brought it to the police department. 

On July 28, the police department received numerous calls in reference to the railroad crossing lights being activated and traffic being backed up. The railroad company was contacted. 

On July 28, the police department received a protection order in reference to a resident of the village.

On July 30, a resident reported a set of keys and master lock near Dollar General. The keys are at the police department. 

On July 30, a resident requested an officer in reference to his unruly daughter. An officer went to the address and assisted speaking with the daughter. 

On July 30, a domestic dispute was reported at a residence on Canal St. An officer responded and investigated and prepared a report.

On July 31, a report of child abuse was received. The case was investigated and turned over to human services.

On July 31, a person inquired how to obtain their vehicle that was sold but not paid for out in the rural area of the county. The caller was forwarded to the Paulding County Sheriff’s office. 

On July 31, a person requested about a zoning violation notice. He was forwarded to the Zoning inspector.

On July 31, an officer was requested to go to Canal St to keep the street clear while a resident moved their belongings.

On July 31, an unattended open burning complaint was called in for a place on Wilcox St. The officer responded and documented the complaint.

On August 1, a call of trespassing was reported on Wilcox St. An officer responded and investigated.

On August 1, an employee of DG reported someone had stolen her phone. The officer responded and the case is being investigated.
