Lady Warriors cruise past Tigers, Raiders

BLUFFTON – The Woodlan Lady Warriors went on the road Tuesday night to open the ACAC tournament where they cruised to a 46-27 victory at Bluffton.

Taylor Knuebuhler and Avah Smith each had big nights for the Lady Warriors with 20 and 18 points, respectively.

Also finding the scoring column for the Lady Warriors were Briana Roney (three), Kaitlyn Crosby (two) and Brooke Kneubuhler (one).

Smith also topped Woodlan with six rebounds and dished out a pair of assists while Taylor Kneubuhler added five boards, three assists and four steals.

Addie Goheen and Roney also had three assists for the Lady Warriors with Brooke Kneubuhler and Crosby both posting two steals.

Woodlan then rolled to a 51-19 win over Southern Wells in the second round of the tournament as Smith racked up 20 markers and Brooke Kneubuhler chipped in 11.

Taylor Kneubuhler (six), Roney (six), Crosby (five) and Gabi Klopfenstein (three) completed the list of scorers for the Lady Warriors.

Smith added seven rebounds, two assists and two steals for Woodlan with Crosby adding three boards and three steals. Roney chipped in three assists and three steals while Taylor Kneubuhler recorded three assists and two steals.

Goheen dished out four assists for the Lady Warriors and Crosby finished with three steals.

Klopfenstein, Brooke Kneubuhler and Smith all dished out two assists for Woodlan with Smith also having two steals.

In the boys division, they also opened with Bluffton, winning 71-52. Then faced Southern Wells & took their next round win, 67-25.
