U.S. 127 bridge project delayed

The large opening in the U.S. 127 bridge over Lost Creek in Defiance County where a deck replacement project is now delayed two to four weeks.

The project to replace a portion of the bridge deck over the Lost Creek on U.S. 127 is delayed. The 30-day project expected to reopen to traffic before the Independence Day holiday could remain closed for up to four more weeks.

The project delay is the result of a material issue involving the box beams.

The closure is approximately two miles north of the village of Sherwood between Baker Road and Buckskin Road. The posted detour is State Route 18 to State Route 15 back to U.S. 127. The same detour applies in reverse for the opposite direction of travel
