The Union Township Lions club of rural Decatur has donated two sets of concrete picnic table forms to Vantage Career Center. These picnic table forms were used by the Lions club as a fundraiser during the past thirty-five years. Because of the declining number and aging of their members they can no longer do this fundraiser. They have decided to donate the picnic table forms to the Vantage Career Center Construction Equipment Technology program to be used for practical vocational education. These tables could also be used by Vantage for either fundraising for classroom expenses, or to donate them to local parks for public uses. The Lions club has many of these concrete picnic tables in the Decatur, Monroe, and Monroeville area. Most notably at the Adams County 4-H fairgrounds, Monroe little league ballpark, Zesto in Decatur, and the Monroeville town park. The Lions Club hopes that this donation would help Vantage with continued vocational training, practical application, and experience.
