A Word of Encouragement

According to data collected by the area county health departments, a majority of the hospitalizations among the most vulnerable population (age 60 and over) are vaccinated against COVID-19.

According to the Paulding County Health Department and the Ohio Department of Health, Paulding County’s Rate of COVID-19 cases per 100,000 people has had a steady decline over the month of December with a peak on 12/18/21 at 974.7. At 2021’s end, Paulding County’s rate has decreased by 396.3 for a total (as of 12/30/21) of 578.4 per 100,000 residents.

We shall see how the county responds to the Omicron variant by the end of January.
