PC Commissioners Announce Grover Hill Lions Club To Open Community Center in Grover Hill

PC Commissioner Roy Klopfenstein and Grover Hill Lions Club representative, Reg Hinchcliff, unveil new plans for Community Center.

On Saturday evening, October 30, 2021, big news came out of Grover Hill Ohio. The Paulding County Commissioners together with the Grover Hill Lions Club unveiled the next plans for the village — a Community Center. The Grover Hill Lions Club Community Center will be directly south of the Grover Hill branch library at 103 S Main St. This is the Grover Hill Lions Club building. This building will be renovated to fit the many programs that will be offered to the community. This renovation project of the Grover Hill Lions Club Community Center will provide not only us a gathering place for families, but a learning center for our young folks through its partnership with the Grover Hill Library, a food distribution center for the food bank and a partnership with the Paulding County Health Department in outreach of health and wellness programs.

Many hands were involved in the planning stages of this grand project. The funds awarded for this project are from the former President Trump’s American Rescue Plan. The Ohio Department of Development, its director Lydia Mihalik, Mary Oakley and her fine staff were instrumental in guiding everyone involved through this part of the process. Maumee Valley Planning Organization has been extremely helpful getting the grant awarded to the Lions Club for the community center. Christina Deer, without her help and forward thinking, this project would not have happened. Lisa McClure is always ready to help with new projects for this village and its surrounding community through the Paulding County Area Foundation. Reggie Hinchcliff and all the members of the Grover Hill Lions Club has extended its vast generosity by using their Lions Club building for its future use as a Community Center.
