LEVEL 2 ROAD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT

As of noon today, Sheriff Jason K. Landers will continue the Level 2 Road Advisory for Paulding County. This Level 2 Road Advisory means that roadways are hazardous with blowing and drifting snow and roadways could be icy. Only those individuals who feel it is necessity to travel should be on the roadways. Sheriff Landers urges people to use caution and common sense in deciding if travel is really necessary. Level 2 doesn’t close the roadways to travel, but it is an advisory against unnecessary travel.

“At this time the State and US highways are being maintained fairly well,” said Sheriff Landers. “The County Highway garage is still reporting some drifting and snow-covered roadways, and most townships are still working their way around their respective roads. The road conditions will be monitored throughout the day and into the evening. Citizens will be informed by this same press release method when this advisory is lifted.”

While the road conditions may look adequate in the Villages and wind protected areas, they can be hazardous out in the county.
