Marion Township – Troopers from the Lima Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol are investigating an incident which took place on US 30 near Redd Road in Allen County.
On April 30, at approximately 3:05 am, troopers were called to the scene where a man was found deceased in the west bound lanes of US 30 near Redd Road. The victim, Richard P. Lee, 52, of Lima, was pronounced dead by the Allen County Coroner’s Office from injuries related to being struck by a vehicle. Mr. Lee’s vehicle was found parked on the side of the Redd Road.
Investigators found evidence indicating a light blue semi-tractor may be involved. It is unclear as to the reason for Mr. Lee to be outside of his vehicle at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
