Native Plants Growing Well at School

Elise Meyer and Alia Clem are investigating native plants at the Prairie Garden.

Toward the end of August, second graders at Antwerp Elementary School visited the recently finished native prairie garden on the school campus to make observations of living and non-living things. Students recorded their findings on their clipboards. The native prairie garden is open for the public to enjoy as well. It contains native grasses, plants, and shrubs; a pavilion area with picnic tables; and a mailbox with information about the wildlife planted there.
