Robert Lee Botteron

Robert Lee Botteron Jr., 80, of Harlan, passed away on Thursday, September 14, 2017 at Parkview Regional Medical Center. Born on August 1, 1937, in Allen County, he was a son of the late Robert Sr. and Vivian (Schlatter) Botteron. A graduate of Harlan High School, Robert proudly served in the U.S. Army for two years in medical services and photography. He was a machinist with BF Goodrich for 33 years, from which he retired. Robert accepted Christ as his Savior in 1983 and attended Sherwood Baptist Church, Sherwood, Ohio. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Barbara (Bibler) Botteron of Harlan; daughters, Sandy (Mike) Gruber of Harlan and Debby (Terry) Little of Orient, Ohio; four grandchildren, Erin, Emily, Ben, and Elizabeth; sisters, Shirley Schmidt of Fort Wayne and Sally (Greg) Lake of Woodburn; and sister-in-law, Marylou Botteron of Kendallville. He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Catherine Smith, James Botteron, and William Botteron; and brother-in-law, Gay Schmidt. Funeral Service will be 11:00 am on Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at Woodburn Missionary Church, 5108 Bull Rapids Rd., Woodburn, with calling one hour prior. Calling will also be from 2-4pm & 6-8pm on Monday, September 18, 2017 at the church. Memorials may be made to A Hope Center, Fort Wayne.
