The 2017 Antwerp Cleveland Street Ribfest took place this past weekend with people coming from around the area for the event. It came up quickly without much notice this year. Three Rib vendors were there along with the Boy Scouts, Girls Scouts and Fire Departments from both Antwerp and Hicksville serving food for the attendees. Drinks by the town churches for the community VBS and also the VFW in their pavilion. There was also bingo in the Fire Hall with lots of prizes given away.
Prior to Cleveland Street opening for ribs the 5k started and ended in the park with Sam Williamson coming in first overall.
It was a beautiful day for the downtown gathering. With no long waits, it was easy to get your food and get around without bumping in to people, and the weather was gorgeous for this event. Dustin Sensabaugh and Tom Derck along with the ACDC worked to make this possible.
