The Holgate Tigers travelled to Raiders field on Friday, October 2nd. This was the Raiders homecoming game. The home field air may have reeked but the home team was fantastic! Gabe Wobler, Wayne Trace QB, was hitting his targets on the cold and windy night. The first quarter they scored 20 points with Cole Shepherd scoring the first two touchdowns. Hunter Showalter was on fire with the next three touchdowns to his name, extending into the second quarter. Cole Shepherd posted his third for the evening before heading off to half time. Holgate’s Dylan Szabo passed to Abel Corser for their first points of the game in the second quarter.

The second half of the game only had two touchdowns for the home team: The first by Cole Shepherd and the second by Seth Saylor on a pass from Trae Sinn. The final touchdown for the evening was by Abel Corser on a 45 yard run adding Holgate’s score up to 12.

Wayne Trace lead offensive yards 248 compared to 100 for the Tigers.

The Raiders are now 3-3 for the season. Holgate is 1-5.
