State Patrol Investigating Injury Crash in Paulding County

police-lightsCrane Township – The Ohio State Highway Patrol’s Van Wert Post is investigating an injury crash that occurred at 10:13 P.M. Sunday night on County Road 230 near County Road 105, in Paulding County.

A 2005 Chevrolet Colbalt, driven by Janice S. Carlisle, 53, of Cecil, Ohio was traveling eastbound on County Road 230. The driver lost control of her vehicle while negotiating a curve. The driver drove off the left side of the roadway, struck a traffic sign, crossed County Road 105, and struck a ditch. The vehicle came to rest in a field. The driver was injured in the crash, and she was taken by EMS to the Paulding County Hospital.

The Highway Patrol was assisted on scene by the Crane Township Fire Department, Antwerp EMS, Paulding County Sheriff’s Office, and Gideon Wrecker Service.

The crash remains under investigation. The driver was not wearing her seatbelt during the time of the crash. Seatbelt use may have reduced the driver’s injuries.
