Wayne Trace received the bye for the first round of sectionals and then proceeded to play Continental on Friday, February 28 after the Pirates won against Patrick Henry earlier in the week.

Both the Pirates and the Raiders had a close first quarter with Wayne Trace on top 14-11. The second quarter Wayne Trace slowly, but steadily took control of the lead, though not dominating. The first half ended with the home team on top 26-18.

Continental in the third quarter narrowed the lead in the first few minutes, but their fouls led them to lose their gain with Jake Arend making four free throws in the game. This game the Raiders did not score any 3 point baskets out of the 11 attempts.

The fourth quarter Raiders widened their lead significantly with Devin Wenzlick and David Sinn leading the charge. The boys worked as a team quite well and the Pirates knew the score wouldn’t get any closer and their season ended with a loss to the Wayne Trace 40-58.
