New Haven Destroys Canterbury in Home Action

The Bulldogs posted their highest scoring game for the season.

The New Haven boys basketball game against Canterbury took place at the Armstrong Arena on Tuesday, February 18. The Cavaliers have been a fairly even team – just under 50%, but the Bulldogs tore apart the competition in the game with scoring nearly 50 points just in the first half of the game. Passing the ball to Steve McElvene under the basket was a key part of this game. With his height and agility he had no problem raising the score in this fast-paced game.

The second half of the match was not much different for the home team as they added another 48 points to the their total, making this game New Haven’s highest scoring game of the season. Canterbury scored quite a few more than previously and having their best quarter also in the fourth.

Current Record for New Haven is now 15-3 while Canterbury is at 7-10
