Leo Girls win ACAC Round 1 Against Woodlan

The last shot of the game was taken by Woodlan Junior, Emily Summers.

The Allen County All-Conference Girls basketball tournament started on Tuesday, January 14 at Elmer Strautman gymnasium located on the Warrior Campus.

Leo took on Woodlan in the first game of the night. The game was a very slow paced game with Leo winning the matchup, sending the Lions to round two.

The first quarter was low scoring with Leo and Woodlan’s combine score of 13. The halftime score was 19-21 with the Lions on top.

The second half of the game Woodlan scored 20 points and Leo scored 24 points, giving Leo the win at 39-46. Haley Hostetler and Kenzie Salzbrenner both performed well offensively for the home team.
