West Bend Printing & Publishing Expands with Acquisition of Hilltop Printing 

ANTWERP, Ohio — West Bend Printing & Publishing, Inc. is proud to announce the acquisition of Hilltop Printing of Defiance, ensuring that one of Northwest Ohio’s long-standing commercial printing companies will continue serving customers under local ownership.

Hilltop Printing, established in 1970 and owned by Verle Harner, has built a strong reputation for quality, reliability and personal service for more than five decades. Under the agreement, ownership of the business and property will transfer to Peace in the Valley Property LLC, with West Bend Printing & Publishing operating the business.

“This is not about changing what customers value about Hilltop Printing,” said Bryce Steiner, owner of West Bend Printing & Publishing. “This is about continuing Verle’s legacy, caring for his customers, and expanding what we can do together for the communities we both serve.”

The acquisition brings together two locally owned businesses with shared values and a passion for high-quality print. Customers can expect the same great service from the team they know at Hilltop, now with access to additional equipment, capabilities and resources.

The Hilltop location in Defiance gives West Bend nearly three and a half times the production and warehouse space it currently has, creating room for future expansion, additional equipment and more opportunities to better serve customers throughout the region.

This acquisition is about expansion, not abandonment. West Bend Printing & Publishing remains deeply committed to its customers in Paulding County and the surrounding communities. The office in Antwerp will continue to operate as always.

By expanding into Defiance, the company is positioning itself to better serve both existing and new customers with more space, more capabilities and more convenience. Customers will be able to place orders and arrange pickup through either the Antwerp or Defiance location.

“I’m pleased that Hilltop Printing will continue serving the community under local ownership. Bryce and his team understand the importance of taking care of customers, and I believe they’re the right people to carry the business forward,” Harner said.

Plans are already underway to evaluate new equipment, improve the facility and continue investing in the future of printing in the area.

West Bend Printing & Publishing was founded in 2005 and provides commercial printing, graphic design, wide-format printing, signs, banners, vehicle graphics, book publishing, direct mail and marketing services.
