Project 2030 Annual Meeting Highlights Community Partnership and Future Vision

The Defiance Area Foundation’s Project 2030 members gathered for their Annual Meeting at Iron Horse Brews in Sherwood, Ohio, for an evening centered on community vision, partnership, and future possibilities for Defiance County.
The meeting brought together Project 2030 members, Foundation representatives, and City of Defiance leadership for meaningful conversation about what could be possible by the year 2030. Mayor Mike McCann shared a presentation on the City Parks Plan, helping attendees visualize current community planning efforts, future opportunities, and ideas that could inspire continued discussion among Project 2030 members.
The evening reflected the growing partnership and community spirit between the Defiance Area Foundation, Project 2030 members, and the City of Defiance. As Project 2030 continues working toward its goal of raising $500,000 by 2030, these conversations help encourage big-picture thinking around a future project that could serve Defiance County for generations to come.
The newly elected Project 2030 officers were also announced: Jake Oberlin, Committee President; Bridget Oberlin, Committee Vice President; Chelsie Schroeder, Committee Secretary; and Brooke Bostelman, Committee Treasurer.
