New Airbnb, The Waverly House, Opens in Payne with Chamber Ribbon Cutting

The Payne Chamber of Commerce recently welcomed a new business to the community with a ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating the opening of The Waverly House, a newly renovated Airbnb offering visitors a comfortable alternative to a traditional hotel stay.

Joining the celebration were Payne Chamber of Commerce President Chad Benschneider, Village of Payne Mayor Lora Lyons, and owners, Kristy and Allan Wobler.

The Waverly House is owned by Allen and Kristy Wobler, who spent approximately 18 months transforming the property into a fully furnished short-term rental. Their extensive renovation has created a welcoming home designed for both travelers and local guests.

The rental features three bedrooms, one bathroom, a full kitchen, living room, washer and dryer, a one-car garage and a fenced backyard complete with a fire pit. The home comfortably accommodates six guests and can sleep up to eight.

Since opening in April, The Waverly House has already hosted 15 groups of renters. In addition to welcoming out-of-town visitors, the property has also become a gathering place for local residents. The home has been used for family visits, weekend getaways, girls’ nights and small gatherings, providing extra space when homes become crowded with guests.

With Paulding County having relatively few short-term lodging options, The Waverly House is a valuable addition to the area. The investment by Allen and Kristy Wobler helps expand accommodations for visitors while also providing a unique venue for local residents to enjoy.
