“Quilts from the Sea and Beyond,” a popular trunk show and lecture by nationally acclaimed quilter and textile designer Rob Appell, will be presented at the August 4 meeting of the Appleseed Quilters Guild.

Known for his high-energy tutorials and fusible appliqué techniques, Appell uses this program to showcase his unique seascape quilts inspired by the coastal beauty of Morro Bay, California.

Appell’s presentation will be open to non-members as well as regular members of the Appleseed Quilters Guild. The guild meets at the Mizpah Shrine Center, 1015 Memorial Way, Fort Wayne.

Based in Fort Wayne, Indiana, Appleseed Quilters Guild (AQG) began in 1993 as a small quilting group, and has grown to more than 175 members from northeast Indiana. AQG strives to create, maintain and document an interest in all matters pertaining to the making, collecting and preserving of quilts. AQG also seeks to establish and promote educational and philanthropic endeavors through quilts and quilting.
