IN AS MUCH AS YOU DID FOR THE LEAST OF THEM

Matthew 25 is one of my favorite books in the Bible. I often use it as a reference for how to watch for the bridegroom, how to increase my talents, and how to treat those considered the least of these. If we are not careful to imitate Christ’s humility, pride can set in and cause us to act with an “air of superiority.” Or impunity. Remember, Scripture tells us that pride goeth before destruction (Proverbs 16:18).
God will separate his obedient followers from pretenders and unbelievers. The real evidence of our belief is how we act towards people who are different.
Here is the scripture from Hebrews 13:2 (NIV): “Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it.”
We should strive to treat everyone we meet with Jesus’ love. It takes prayer and practice. How we treat others reveals what we truly think about Jesus’ words.
How clearly do your actions set you apart from the pretenders? Which one are you, a sheep or a goat?
The Holy Spirit of Jesus Christ requires personal involvement with his people.
Love where love is needed. Regardless of differences such as color, political affiliation, or religious denomination. But I’m quite sure you already know this. So please, let’s govern ourselves accordingly (smile).
Please read the scripture from Matthew 25:34-36, 41-46 (NV): Malachi 3:16-18 (NIV):
Then those who feared the LORD talked with each other, and the LORD listened and heard. A scroll of remembrance was written in his presence concerning those who feared the LORD and honored his name.
“On the day when I act,” says the LORD Almighty, “they will be my treasured possession. I will spare them, just as a father has compassion and spares his son who serves him. And you will again see the distinction between the righteous and the wicked, between those who serve God and those who do not.”
