Herman and Gaskill speaks to Kiwanis

The Kiwanis Club welcomed Eric Herman, Communications Coordinator and C.J. Gaskill, Broadband OPS Manager from Paulding Putnam Electric & Internet as guest speakers at this week’s meeting. The speakers were invited by fellow Kiwanian Renee Hull.

C.J. provided an update on the cooperative’s ongoing fiber buildout in Ohio and Indiana. The project is currently 68% complete, providing expanded access to high-speed internet service throughout the cooperative’s service area.

Eric also introduced members to Bark, a digital safety service that Paulding Putnam Electric & Internet has partnered with to help parents protect their children while they are online.

Bark provides parents with tools, information, and resources to help them better understand online safety and have conversations with their children about responsible internet use. The service can alert parents to potentially concerning online activity and includes location features that can help parents locate their children when needed.

The partnership with Bark is part of Paulding Putnam Electric & Internet’s continued commitment to the communities it serves. Through its internet services, the cooperative is making Bark available to its members, while the service itself is available nationwide.

The presentation gave Kiwanis members an opportunity to learn more about both the cooperative’s continued fiber expansion and resources available to families to help keep children safe in an increasingly connected world.
