Flat Rock Creek Fall Truck Show Celebrates 25 Years, Honors Gary Crowl

PAULDING – Antique trucks and special interest vehicles were on display Sunday, September 20, during the Flat Rock Creek Fall Truck Show at the Paulding County History Museum.

The event featured the 25th annual American Truck Historical Society (ATHS) Vintage Truck Show, drawing truck enthusiasts to the museum grounds for an afternoon dedicated to preserving and sharing transportation history.

A highlight of the day came during an ATHS meeting held in conjunction with the show, when longtime volunteer and preservationist Gary Crowl was presented with a 50-Year Golden Achievement Award recognizing his decades of dedication to the preservation and restoration of trucks and farm equipment.

Gary Crowl was honored for his 50 years Golden Achievement Award on September 27th at the Flat Rock Antique Truck Show at the Paulding County History Museum grounds.

Crowl has spent many years volunteering with the National Automotive and Truck Museum of the United States (NATMUS) in Auburn, Indiana. Through his work at the museum, Crowl became affectionately known as the “Get It Running Man” for his ability and willingness to bring historic vehicles and equipment back to running condition.

The Flat Rock Creek Fall Truck Show was held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and included free admission and parking, with donations benefiting the Paulding County History Museum. Lunch was also available at the museum.
