Defiance Area Foundation Awards $5,000 Grant to Hicksville Christmas Cruise Thru
The Defiance Area Foundation has awarded a $5,000 grant to the Hicksville Christmas Cruise Thru during its 2026 Spring Grant Cycle.
Funding for the project was provided through two funds under the Defiance Area Foundation umbrella, including $1,372 from the Defiance Area Foundation Community Fund and $3,628 from the Hanna Family Memorial Fund.
The grant will assist with replacing the Christmas archway located at the entrance of the Christmas Cruise Thru after the structure was damaged when struck by a vehicle. The archway serves as a welcoming feature for visitors attending the annual holiday attraction.
The Hicksville Christmas Cruise Thru has become a cherished community tradition, drawing visitors from throughout the region to enjoy festive light displays and celebrate the holiday season.
