Auglaize Chapel Church of God to Hold Fall Revival Services

OAKWOOD — Auglaize Chapel Church of God will hold Fall Revival Services Sept. 20-23, featuring Rev. Ray Houser as guest speaker.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 20, and at 7 p.m. Monday through Wednesday, Sept. 21-23. The church is located at 22652 County Road 60, Oakwood.

Houser grew up in Wichita, Kansas, and received bachelor’s and master’s degrees in ministry from Anderson University, as well as a master’s degree in management from Indiana Wesleyan University. He is an ordained minister in the Church of God (Anderson, Indiana).

During his years in ministry, Houser served churches in Kentucky and California and planted a new congregation in Clarksville, Indiana. He later spent 18 years as pastor of First Church of God, now South Creek Church, in Kokomo, Indiana. Since leaving the Kokomo church in 2010, he has served churches in Indiana, Illinois, Mississippi and Washington as an interim pastor.

Houser also served as administrator of his wife’s ministry, Tina Houser Ministries, which trained people in creative children’s ministry. Following Tina’s death in late 2024, Houser became pastor of Heritage Church at Liberty Ridge Senior Center.

Houser says two major passions have guided his ministry: helping plateaued or declining churches experience renewed growth and encouraging churches to reach the next generation through effective ministry to children, youth and young adults. He believes struggling churches can find new hope by becoming agents of God’s love, hope and forgiveness in their communities.

Houser and his wife also co-wrote two “Fun Family Devotions” books. He shares additional thoughts about church and ministry through his “Next Chapter” blog.
