Antwerp Chamber Invites Entries for Annual Cutie Pie Contest

The Antwerp Chamber of Commerce is inviting proud parents and grandparents to show off their little ones by entering the annual Antwerp Chamber Cutie Pie Contest, which will be held during Day in the Park on Saturday, August 8 at Riverside Veterans Memorial Park.
The contest is open to children from newborn through 4 years of age. Participants are asked to submit a 4-by-6 photo of their “cutie pie,” a decorated container for collecting votes, and an entry fee (see Antwerp Chamber of Commerce’s Facebook page for details).
Photos and decorated voting containers may be dropped off in advance at Petals & Vines or Leland Smith Insurance.
During Day in the Park, visitors will have the opportunity to cast their votes by making monetary donations for their favorite contestant. The Cutie Pie receiving the most monetary votes will be crowned the winner and will receive four passes to the Fort Wayne Zoo.
In addition to providing a fun competition for local families, the Cutie Pie Contest serves an important community purpose. All money raised through the contest funds the Antwerp Chamber of Commerce Scholarship, which is awarded to Antwerp High School students who attend Vantage Career Center. The scholarship helps support local students as they pursue career and technical education.
The contest is designed to celebrate the community’s youngest residents while giving families an opportunity to support a worthwhile cause. Organizers encourage everyone to stop by during Day in the Park, cast their votes, and help make this year’s fundraiser a success while enjoying the many activities planned for the annual celebration.
