At 318 N. Walnut Street in Paulding, the new building of the Caring & Sharing Food Pantry is nearly ready for business. Shelving (some from the old building, some purchased and some donated) is being assembled in the new market and stockroom. Here’s the schedule of events for the next two weeks:

• April 1-9 – both pantry locations will be closed for moving freezers, refrigerators, stock, supplies, furniture

 • April 10 – the new pantry location at 318 N. Walnut Street will be open for clients

 • May 2 – save the date for the ribbon cutting and community open house; more details to come

The schedule in the new building will continue to be open 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 Noon Wednesdays and Saturdays. Clients can continue to visit the pantry twice every 30 days and receive three days of food based on their family size.

“We are amazed at what our community has done to make this dream a reality for Paulding County,” said Laurie Barnes, pantry board member.
