The Paulding County Carnegie Library’s Susan Deatrick, Head of Youth Services has received a grant for Solar Eclipse viewing glasses from SEAL (Solar Eclipses Activities for Libraries). The project was funded by the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation. The mission of the Gordon and Betty Moorefoundation was established to create positive outcomes for future generations. In pursuit of that vision, they advance scientific discovery, environmental conservation, and the special character of the San Francisco Bay Area. The SEAL network has distributed almost 5 million glasses to over 12,500 participating libraries. The library will be distributing glasses to all county schools first and the remainder will be available for pick up at the library on a first come first served basis, while supplies last. The glasses will be limited to two per person. The glasses will become available on March 18. Stop by your local library and pick up your glasses for safely viewing the eclipse on April 8.
