THIRD ANNUAL SCOTT ST. JOHN CRUISE IN RAISES NEARLY THREE GRAND FOR FOOD PANTRY

The St. John family celebrates the third annual Scott St. John “Marmaduke” Cruise In.

On Saturday, July 22, the St. John family hosted a car show around Paulding’s village square to honor the late Scott St. John. Proceeds from a 50/50 raffle, free-will offerings, and a portion of food and drink sales totaled $3,862 and were donated to the Caring & Sharing Food Pantry building fund, Scott’s pet charity. With this, the pantry has now raised nearly 95% of its building fund goal of $560,000.

More than 110 cars were on display for many to enjoy. Music was provided by My 102.7, Fat Pig Smokehouse of Hicksville sold BBQ and sides, while Caring & Sharing Food Pantry volunteers scooped homemade ice cream donated by Emerald Dairy. In addition, Fuel Good Energy ran a week- long fundraiser and donated $1 for each “Fruit Salad” tea purchased.

“We had more cars and more people than last year, and we’re already planning for 2024,” said Shelia St. John, Scott’s sister-in-law and event coordinator. “We couldn’t pull off this event without our wonderful volunteers and a great group of sponsors.”
