February 21st-24th, the Paulding FFA Chapter celebrated National FFA week by having many events throughout the district. During this week, every day was a dress up day for high school and this year we included the elementary schools and the middle school, which was a huge success.

When students entered the building on Tuesday there was an FFA emblem scavenger hunt in all the buildings and once a student found an emblem they turned it for a candy prize! It was so fun to see the students finding hidden emblems all week.  Tuesday was sleepy farmer, where students got to wear their pajamas with boots. There was a corn hole tournament for the high school that was held in the High Gym during AAA. The FFA officers also made a quiz to educate the entire high school about agriculture in Paulding County. The students took the quiz and once they got a 100% they were given a cookie donated by Ag Credit.

On Wednesday, FFA members brought in a wide variety of food to host their annual staff appreciation lunch featuring grilled hotdogs and burgers made by the Paulding FFA Alumni. Our students and staff wore their FFA shirts as our dress up day.  We also had State FFA Officer Dalton Mullins do some awesome team building activities with all the ag classes. Thursday was America Day, students wore red, white, and blue.

During all of the Ag classes on Thursday Dietz Racing came in and educated our students about the racing industry and the many careers available for our students and they even brought 2 of their own race cars which were so neat for students to see.

Friday was cowboys at the beach, so students got to wear their boots with school appropriate beach outfits. Also, on Friday, the Paulding FFA hosted their annual Country Olympics with the entire high school in attendance. The students competed in a wide variety of games and competitions with their teams. These games consisted of straw stacking, stick horse races, tug of war, cattle roping, musical chairs, and a milking contest. Finally, the teachers and students made their own line dance to perform at the end of all the other events and Mason & Tyler Schlatter were the cornhole champions for 2023.

The students had a very fun day at the Country Olympics and are very excited for next year. We ended FFA week with our ice cream party for those students who sold fruit in the ag room during AAA.  We want to thank everyone for their support and dedication to the Paulding FFA Chapter!
