Antwerp Police Department Reports

2/15 – Police Department was contacted to assist Dept. of Human Services, during investigation, meth was discovered. Report prepared & forwarded to prosecutor & BCI crime lab.

2/16 – Police Department was contacted in reference to an individual that ran a stopped arm of a school bus on N Main St.

2/17 – Police Department assisted Antwerp School resource officer with threats that had been made.

2/17 – Police Department contacted by a company in reference to person having a medical issue. Officer responded & contacted EMS & assisted individual until EMS arrived.

2/17 – a resident of Stone St reported that a pitbull was running loose. Officer located pitbull & it had returned to its home on Daggett.

2/17 – individual was cited for driving under suspension, and running stop arm of a school bus.

2/18 – an officer was called to a domestic dispute on Canal St. When officer arrived, according to parties, nothing physical had occurred, officer prepared a report & forwarded to prosecutor’s office.

2/18 – a resident called & reported that his sister was involved in a domestic violence situation. Officer responded investigated & prepared a report for prosecutor’s office.

2/19 – a resident had stopped by a downtown business & found that door was unlocked. Police Department responded & secured business & contacted the owner.

2/20 – a resident complained to police department about debris that neighbor set outside. Police Department contacted the person & the person is to set it out for the big trash day.

2/23 – Police were contacted in reference to a motor vehicle accident in the school parking lot. Officer responded and report was prepared.

2/24 – a resident contacted police department in reference to a registered sex offender in the village. Caller thought the individual was not allowed to be around children or Antwerp. It was investigated and found to be that Individual does not have any restrictions.

2/24 – Police department received an alarm at a downtown business. Officer responded and found that alarm was set off by accident.

2/25 – a resident of N Baltimore Ohio contacted the police department in reference to a phone call her elderly mother received that said they were Antwerp Police and was requesting bond money and that her granddaughter was incarcerated. Case was investigated & determined to be a scam & N Baltimore Police Department was contacted.

2/25 – an officer respond to a 911 call. Determined it was a false alarm.

2/27 – a county resident contacted Antwerp police that a family member had left home a day earlier to go fishing & not returned. The case was turned over to the Paulding County Sheriff.

2/27 – a resident reported a woman exited a car near the Post Office & placed bags of trash into village trash. Case was investigated & report was prepared.

2/28 – a resident called & explained that they had gotten into argument with fellow tenants, wanted to move out of home they rented together but were not being allowed to obtain things. Officer came to location & stood by as parties separated belongings.

2/28 – a resident of E River stated in the night someone had stolen tools & moved bikes in front of property.
