On Tuesday, February 10th, the Ag Sales team competed at the district contest at Spencerville High School. The team consisted of Jamy Hunt, Maci Kauser, Brooke Kilgore, and Mason Schlatter.

The agricultural sales competition consists of four different parts.

The first is an online test to determine who will be on the team, but these scores are also factored into the team score. Then they have a 15 minute preparation session, where they are graded on their teamwork and ability to develop effective selling strategies together.

During this session is where they make a plan for their sale, and then they go to the third part where they are asked questions by the judges about their plan and teamwork.

Finally, each student had to go individually and try to sell their product to the judges. This year the product the team marketed was diesel heaters.

At the district contest, the team placed 2nd overall qualifying the team to move on to the state contest in March. Great job to the Ag sales team and good luck at the state competition!
