Recently, seven Paulding FFA officers and their Ag teacher Mrs. Staci Miller traveled to Huntington Indiana for the 9th Annual FFA leadership Summit held at Huntington University.

At this conference, the officers toured Huntington’s campus. The tour was given by Paulding FFA Alumni Sydney Reineck who is majoring in Ag Business at Huntington.

The officers got to listen to a panel discussion of current and alumni students sharing their experiences and opportunities that Huntington has to offer. They also heard from the President of the college in a short address.

The FFA officers were able to participate in many leadership activities and gather with other FFA officers and the Indiana’s State officers to enjoy team building games. They had a nice lunch together then heard from the keynote speaker of the day.

Mitch Frazier the President and CEO of AgriNovus Indiana spoke to the students about the many different areas of agriculture and the career options available to them and gave them words of inspiration as young FFA members.

The Paulding FFA have gone to this event for the past 9 years and look forward to it each year. It was a wonderful day spent gaining more knowledge about FFA and learning vital leadership skills to help the officer team continue to grow stronger!
