Vantage Students Are State Bound!

Best of luck to the Vantage Health Information Management, Health Technology and Sports Exercise Therapy students who will be taking their skills to the State HOSA – Future Health Occupations competition held in Columbus Ohio. These Vantage students competed at the regional competition held at the University of Toledo, and brought home some major wins! Taking First place on the podium was, Healey Frazier (Crestview), Medical Math and the HOSA Bowl team consisting of Hailey Kimmel (Jefferson), Lily Price (Lincolnview), Leigha Bendele (Lincolnview), & Autumn Zuber (Antwerp). Taking Second in their categories were, Hailey Dickson (Crestview), Job Seeking Skills and Juliana McClure (Van Wert), Medical Law & Ethics. Third place went to Dominique Hammond (Continental), Medical Math and Ariel Landwehr (Wayne Trace), Prepared Speaking. Lastly, taking fourth on the podium was Lily Burch (Crestview), Prepared Speaking, Madelyn O’Donnell (Antwerp), Nutrition, Adrianne Pease (Antwerp), Medical Spelling, Madison Ricker (Jennings), Nurse Assisting and the Health Education team, Kaitlyn Rager (Antwerp), Mackenzie Blankenship (Wayne Trace), and Kristin Mcdonald (Wayne Trace). Congratulations to all of our competitors for your hard work. 

Congratulations to the Vantage Interactive Media and Network Systems students who have taken their skills to Business Professionals of America (BPA) Regional competition, and are moving on to state competition. Vantage students showed up to compete in various career aligned categories at Ohio Northern University, and in some categories, sweeping all 10 podium winning spots! Many students were given awards for their achievements and 15 will be moving on to the state competition held in Columbus, Ohio. State qualifiers include: Beau Dennis, SQL Database Fundamentals; Evan Hefner, Levi Miller, and William Malloy, C sharp programming; Austin Landin, System Administration Using Cisco; Curtis Swick and Jacob Cruz, Device Configuration & Troubleshooting; Troy Frazier – Ethics & Professionalism; Dakota Gibbs and Melanie Mills, Fundamental Desktop Publishing; Lillian Burkhart, Faith Frost and Xavier Oukly, Advanced Desktop Publishing; and Ryleigh Hanicq and Becca Sentelik, Fundamentals of Web Design.
