Paulding Chamber helps Little Sprouts Daycare & NOCAC Open New Playground

Solid Ground’s Brian Shuherk cuts the ribbon for the new playground that is Paulding County’s only Head Start facility.

The new playground is located at Paulding Church of the Nazarene which houses the Little Sprouts Daycare and Head Start. They officially were blessed on Wednesday, August 24 as it opened to the public. Everyone attending was able to see all the work that Brian Shuherk and his crew at Solid Ground, LLC took on to make this new facility – not only ADA compliant – but also super fun! There is a tricycle race track, drawing boards, raised bed gardens, a wading creek with a bridge, rolling hills with beautiful Kentucky Blue grass blowing in the wind. The freshly planted trees are young, but won’t take too long for the maples to give good shade.

The kids at the ribbon cutting showed their interest as they were exploring all over the new equipment!

The facility already had a playground, so this was a major upgrade for the facility. Shuherk stated he did this project in sections in order for some of the playground could still be available to children even during construction. The project was started back in March of this year and continued up until finishing about three weeks ago. The 12 inches of mulch was brought in the Solid Ground and as was all the features of landscaping.

There are so many things that kids can do, and they will love every bit of it!
