High School Boys Golf: GMC vs. BBC Ryder Cup Style!

Buckeye Border Conference high school boys golf teams converged onto the green at Pond-A-River Golf Course with the Green Meadows Conference on Friday, August 5th for a Ryder Cup style golf tournament. This is the first time these two conferences have gone head to head in this style of high school golf tournament. All the GMC schools played strong matches. The afternoon ended with the GMC golfers topping with 27 matches won and BBC took 7 matches.

The Ryder Cup involves various match play competitions between players selected from two teams of twelve over 18 holes of golf. Each team has a captain, who decides which players will play together during four ball and foursomes matches, and in which order they will compete in singles matches.
