PAULDING, OH:
Thomas L. “Tom” Thornell, age 68, passed away on Sunday, July 24, 2022 at Parkview Hospital Randallia, Fort Wayne.
Tom was born on May 15, 1954 in Decatur, IN to Robert and Alma Mae (Arend) Thornell. He worked at National Seal in Van Wert for 30 years and was also a sixth-generation farmer. Tom was a member of Divine Mercy Catholic Parish and a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 2584. He loved to spend his time going to his nieces and nephews sporting events and ball games.
Tom is survived by his mother, Alma Thornell, Paulding, OH; brothers: Larry (Cathy) Thornell, Paulding, OH; Robert (Jody) Thornell, Defiance, OH; sister, Janet (Dennis) Miller, Grover Hill, OH; many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
Tom was preceded in death by his father, Robert C. Thornell in 2013.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, July 29, 2022 at Divine Mercy Catholic Parish, Paulding with Father Austin Ammanniti officiating. Burial will be in Hedges Cemetery, Jackson Township.
Visitation will be 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM on Thursday, July 28, 2022 at Den Herder Funeral Home with a Rosary service at 7:30 PM.
