From the Antwerp Police

On June 16 Antwerp Police Department received a call of a large tree branch that fallen at the park. The village administrator was contacted.

On June 17 Antwerp Police Department was requested to assist in locating a suicidal individual who was last seen around the Antwerp area.

On June 17 an officer was contacted and requested to go to the Antwerp park where a woman was locked in the bathroom. When the officer arrived the individual was able to get out.

On June 17 an officer was requested at a residence on East Washington St in reference to a house fire. Officer responded and assisted with the Antwerp Fire and EMS.

On June 19 motor vehicle accident was reported at the intersection by the post office. Officer responded and prepared report.

On June 20 a person suspected of abusing methamphetamine was reported at North Garden Apartments.

On June 20 a case of fraud was reported to the Antwerp Police Department.

On June 20 a resident of the village requested assistance with information on serving an eviction on Daggett St.

On June 6, 20 drugs were reported being found in a restroom at a local business. Officer responded, found several pills that had been crushed, straw, a clear white baggy with white powder also a $1 bill folded up with powder, in addition to the person’s driver’s license. Items were sent to BC&I for testing and a report will be forwarded to prosecutor.

On June 22 several reports involving neglected children at a residence in North Garden Apartments was forwarded to the Department of Human Services.

On June 22 a report of a body in the village park was reported. Officer responded, case investigated.

On June 26 a resident of Woodland Drive reported that someone was driving recklessly through the neighborhood. 

On June 26 a resident with a suspended driver’s license was seen driving in the village. The vehicle was stopped and the individual was cited for driving under suspension.

On June 26 a missing person was reported from a residence on River St. The individual was located.

On June 27 a person was reported screaming in or around the village park. Officer responded and checked the area but was unable to find anyone.

On June 27 a resident requested a golf cart inspection. The inspection was performed.

On June 27 a resident in the 400 block of E River St. reported they felt someone was trying to break into their home. Nothing found.
