Three County Meet the Candidate Elicits Boos and Praises

Defiance, Paulding and Van Wert Counties Republican affiliated groups hosted a Meet the Candidate with twenty candidates from local, state and federal levels of elections. The event took place at the Paulding County Fairgrounds.

The evening began with an introduction, song, and prayer before Laurie Lucas introduced the first candidate for speaking. Each were given 5 minutes and the event last about an hour and a half.

During the event disdain was noted the for the Dewine-Husted campaign as some people booed, and others praised while Lieutenant Governor Jon Husted spoke. 

The event went well first timers to the area included JD Vance, and Jim Rennaci. Others candidates, local and state level, were given the platform and the voters understood that a change may be coming to local – up to national level politics.
