Oakwood Elementary students held a Veterans Day Parade on November 11 in Oakwood. They lined the circle drive at the school with flags. A veteran, Bud Schilt, was honored with his granddaughter Kristen and Oakwood Elem.’s patriotic clown, Vinnie, who rode his unicycle through the parade. Oakwood Elementary’s own Jeff Sheppard, who is the daytime custodian, was also honored at the Veteran’s Day parade. He is also a veteran.
